Lake Amistad Fishing Report
Summer patterns are dominating. Look for deep grass, main lake points and ledges for larger fish. Many areas have rapidly increasing grass beds with grass ranging from shore to 35 feet. Fish to 6 pounds are being caught punching grass with heavy jigs and worms. Fish 1 to 2 pounds are active around island banks and points. Water temperatures are in the upper 80s to low 90s. Early and late bites are good with mid day slowing down. Slow consistent presentations around grass is best during the heat of the day. Good spinnerbait and swimbait action along banks and shallower grass beds early and late in the day.
